About Lynn Wang

The greatest wasted potential is the story we leave untold, and our stories do not have to be told through words alone. Lynn strives to provide a nonjudgmental, culturally inclusive space for children and adults to explore who we are and heal. She believes in using creativity in therapy to fit individual needs. Lynn was raised in China and the United States; her bicultural background has taught her the importance of developing multicultural awareness to support her clients. She can provide services in Mandarin Chinese and English.

Training and Education

Lynn is a graduate-level intern pursuing a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Johns Hopkins University. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Iowa, where she also minored in criminology and literary translation. Lynn has volunteered at suicide prevention hotlines, and used to provide medical interpreting services for Mandarin-speaking patients. Her most recent experience involves working with adults in individual and group therapy who have complex trauma and mental health issues in substance use recovery. Her most valuable experience before entering grad school is working as an intake coordinator for a community-based counseling center during COVID lockdown, where she gained insight into the workings of the field behind the stage, and the serious accessibility issue experienced by many minority communities.
