About Diane Brumfield
Training and Education
Diane is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Professional School Counselor and Educational Consultant. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Towson University, a Masters of Science in School Counseling and a License in Professional Counseling from Loyola University. Diane is experienced in working with children and families for over nineteen years in the public school system as well as in a private practice environment.
Diane specializes in working with adults, children, and adolescents suffering from anxiety, ADHD, OCD, depression, mood disorders, and learning disabilities. Through her work with children, she incorporates play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and/or compassion focused therapy. She assists clients in identifying coping mechanisms and strategies to make change and find healing.
In addition to working with children, she also provides psychotherapy for adults and believes that strong client/counselor relationships in a supportive encouraging environment assists clients in further understanding themselves. It is her goal to meet clients where they are and support them in finding strength in processing through life’s difficult events.
