About Jessica Baird
Jessica strives to create a safe, caring environment for children and families. Using play and creative therapeutic support, Jessica strives to meet the needs of children, youth, and families as they cope with the stress and uncertainty of illness, injury, and treatment.
Training and Education
Jessica is a Certified Child Life Specialist and Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor. She holds a certification as a Registered Wonders and Worries Provider. Jessica has a Bachelor of Arts in Children’s Studies and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She completed an intensive practicum and internship at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Spokane, Washington where she worked with a variety of populations. Since then, she has worked in several areas both in and out of the hospital setting. Jessica is passionate about working with children who have a chronic illness and strives to help them come to an accurate and developmentally appropriate understanding of their illness.
Jessica uses person-centered practices and play in order to help clients reach their goals. She specializes in working with children and families through an established therapeutic relationship.
