Lily Streaker, LGPAT (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Art Therapist. She specializes in treating children, adolescents and young adults. Lily works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity issues, life transitions, relationship/social issues, and trauma. She is passionate about using art as a tool throughout the therapeutic journey.

About Lillian (Lily) Streaker

Training and Education

Lily Streaker is a Licensed Graduate Art Therapist who graduated with a Master of Arts from Notre Dame of Maryland University. She received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from York College of Pennsylvania with a Minor in Psychology and Art History. Prior to her license, Lily played soccer in undergrad, and had a passion for the arts. Lily had summer internships coaching soccer and with the Art therapist at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She gained experience working with children, neurodivergent adolescents and adults, alongside cultivating a positive athletic environment for soccer players. She has experience working at Johns Hopkins Bayview, and MAKE Studio during her Master’s program. Here, she continued her work with neurodivergent adults, and gained experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community. She has worked in a variety of different settings with children, adolescents and adults.

Approaches

Lily utilizes Art Therapy, mindfulness based techniques, CBT, DBT, solution-based therapy, and play therapy techniques. Using creative modalities as tools in treatment fosters connection with yourself and the world around you. Lily believes in the idea that each individual holds the answers to their own unique challenges. Lily works to empower, support, guide and foster growth throughout my work. As a licensed art therapist, Lily believes in the power of cultivating a strong therapist-client relationship and safe space for expression. By utilizing a strengths based, humanistic and client centered approach, Lily feels that we can work together as a team, to confront the complexities of the human existence. Lily’s goal is to accompany you through challenges towards greater self-awareness and acceptance, Lily is looking forward to the therapeutic journey together!
