Christina Rock, MS, LCPC, RPT (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Counselor and Registered Play Therapist who specializes in children, teens, and families. She also has extensive experience working with adults with varying difficulties, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and challenges with relationships and feelings. She is passionate about helping facilitate that change & cultivate the strengths and skill sets that you already have within you.

About Christina Rock

Christina Rock is a clinical and play therapist who has worked in the mental health field for almost 20 years. She grew up in upstate New York and moved to Maryland in 2005 where she has been ever since. Christina has a love of reading, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. She knows that raising a child can be difficult and growing up can be even more challenging for today's youngsters. Christina feels strongly about giving children and teens the knowledge, a supportive space and tools they need to express themselves as well as parents and loved ones the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and bring a sense of peace and fun back into their home.

Training & Education

Christina is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board Approved Supervisor with the State of Maryland and a Registered Play Therapist. She received her BA in Psychology from Albright College and her Master's in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University in Maryland. She has worked in the mental health field for almost 20 years and has experience working in community mental health, inpatient hospitals, day programs, substance abuse facilities, schools and mobile treatment. Christina has training in Theraplay and has a passion to continue to learn and grow both personally and professionally.

Therapeutic Approach

Christina takes an eclectic and creative approach - utilizing strategies from Person Centered, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Play Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Christina will also use expressive modalities, such as drawing and sand tray as a tool to examine the role of attachment, trauma and emotions. She believes that we have the ability to look within ourselves to nurture those parts of ourselves that are hurt and desire a healthier way to live.
