Mae Sullivan (she/they) is dedicated to fostering a supportive and safe space for children, adolescents, families, and adults to grow and reach their goals. She is committed to building a culturally inclusive environment for all individuals. Outside of work, Mae enjoys watching reality TV, exploring the city, and reading.
Training and Education
Mae is a graduate-level Psychology Associate pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Loyola University Maryland. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and English from Macalester College in Minnesota and her Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland. Mae previously worked at a private practice where she provided individual therapy to children and adolescents with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, conduct disorders, and ADHD. She has experience utilizing parent-based interventions and enjoys working with families so that both parents and children feel confident and supported. Additionally, Mae has provided therapy to adults with trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief. Further, Mae has experience administering psychological assessments to children and adults.

Therapeutic Approach
Mae utilizes a client-centered and collaborative approach with her clients. Strong therapeutic relationships and a safe warm environment are the core of her clinical work. She believes the best treatment is tailored to each client, and so she integrates tools from evidence-based treatments based on each client’s individual needs. She offers talk therapy, play therapy, and parent-based interventions for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Mae has also found great success in integrating parent-based interventions when working with children and adolescents. She has experience with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral parent training (BPT), parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), and supportive parenting for anxious childhood emotions (SPACE).
