Brittany Willis
Master's Therapist InternAbout Brittany Willis
Brittany Willis (she/her) approaches therapy as an opportunity to witness, respond, and foster transformation. Her work centers on the understanding that mental health care must address the interconnected layers of a child’s life, from personal experiences to family and community relationships. Brittany grew up in a family of community service workers who supported other families in improving their interpersonal dynamics, and this upbringing still informs her core values and worldview. She is a proud Baltimore native and enjoys reading, writing funny stories, and cuddling her dog, Red.
Training/Education
Brittany is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Professional Counseling at Loyola University Maryland. She previously graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Her background includes more than a decade of work in education, where she served as a teacher, literacy program coordinator, and community engagement specialist. She has taught special education across multiple grade levels and supported students navigating developmental and/or learning challenges. These experiences have given her insight into the critical role systems and relationships play in shaping children’s emotional and mental well-being.

Therapeutic Approach
Brittany aims to use multidimensional and culturally diverse techniques to create a therapeutic space that affirms each of her clients’ unique needs and strengths. She integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy and other expressive techniques into her practice, ensuring sessions remain engaging and accessible for youth. She views creativity as a powerful tool for connection and healing, especially for children who may struggle to express themselves through traditional methods. By involving families, educators, and caregivers in the process, Brittany works to create a network of support that uplifts the child and strengthens their environment. Her therapeutic focus includes addressing trauma, navigating identity formation, and fostering healthy emotional regulation.
