About Donald Rinker
Every human is a creative being, and each of us have different ways we channel that creativity into our everyday lives. Donald believes that each person is the expert on their own experience and that everyone has the capacity to become their best selves. By fostering and harnessing the creativity we all have, we can better craft solutions that feel meaningful to us.
Training and Education
Donald is a graduate-level intern pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Professional Counseling from Loyola University Maryland. He received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University, where he served the Counseling Center as a student advisor; in addition, he also served as a youth group leader for middle school children during his undergraduate career. His most valuable experience from this time was the opportunity to sit with people—adolescents and adults alike—and talk with them about the important things they thought were happening in their lives, and where they needed support to grow.
Supervisor: Shania Greenwood, M.S., LCPC
Donald is excited to provide talk and play therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families at Creative Psychological Health Services. He stresses collaboration with his clients, incorporating a client-centered approach to therapy that integrates practices from CBT and psychodynamic theories to best help the client connect with themselves; he is also passionate about the therapeutic benefits of gaming and storytelling. Donald incorporates a multicultural lens into his practice, and views each of his clients as a unique and beautiful constellation of experiences and identities. Donald aims to help everyone walk the path to becoming their best, authentic selves.
